Love’s in the air

All around you,

Encompassing you

Body and soul!

It’s there in the music

Of rustling leaves

Chirping birds

Song of the waterfalls,

Whimpering of the sleeping child;

It looks the other way,

When you seek it,

Only to sneak in the heart unnoticed

To seep into each pore of your being

To burnish your heart

With untainted purity

Love!

It strikes you

With a sudden chance-glance

A touch

A tilting of the head

A faint smile

A tear resting on the eye-lid!

It surprises you

It pains you

It shakes you

It shocks you

But it is there to stay;

Look within,

You’ll find it

Following you everywhere

Like an earnest companion!

Love is……….

YOU
