Sliding up the escalator
They fell in love.
In the food court they confessed it.
A movie snipped the distances between.
A little shopping cemented their bond.

In a glittering trinket shop ..
They exchanged rings.
And merrily loitered through the mall alleys
And plch! And met  their forbidden past.
The lovers they once loved.

Suspicious and watchful now.. they went for dinner
And  from nothing, raged a nasty storm.
She said, “You know what, you are not my type.”
He said, “And you know something, you don’t deserve my type.”

Sliding down the escalator..the date ended..and the love.

This generation has learnt just too well
The convenience of an escalator…

And the meaning of..

easy come..

easy go.
