Sometimes I think about the life I’m living
I seem to take more than I’m giving
More vengeful than forgiving
More reluctant than willing
Cynical without believing
Need to start emptying the bad
So the goodness can start filling

Babel
March 1, 2019When identities With sharp piercing contours Wound and injure The ‘odd-men-out’ When free-speech or free- will Is mother of all sins; Don’t look at my words They are either not words, or Not mine anymore. Words, thrown at you, Pushed in your mouth, For gains unknown to you To pacify one, hurt another Unnerve you. […]
The Nymph
March 26, 2018There’s a tree in my neighbour’s garden And inside, I see a nymph. She’s trapped within That rough, grey bark. Frozen. Heart still beating, Eyes still seeing, Mind still racing. so true, death can never be opposite or against life, rather death is the very background on which life thrives, the very background ‘coz of which life has got its significance, its meaning.
like when u write on a black-board with a white chalk, that black-board never stands against white chalk, rather acts as a background which is necessary to give ur writing an appearance, a visibility, a meaning, a significance
Hi Rajesh,
Thanks for reading and sharing your thoughts.
Hi Dinesh
It’s been my pleasure reading such a wonderful writeup. Pls. keep writing n enlightening us.
One more good thought now boxed by an unboxed writer. The line “The opposite of death is not life but birth” compels me to read and think again and again on the very aspect of birth , death and the journey between these two instances called life.
Thanks Amulya.
And you are just about to embark on a journey as far as birth is considered. Congrats! Thanks again for reading and sharing your thoughts.
Nice one Dinesh…This one runs deep and like Amulya said makes you stop and think…
Very nice Dinesh! An introspection, a confession, and a desire to restart life right from birth! Good one! Keep it up!
Thanks chech.
Thanks for reading and sharing your observations Narinder. I couldn’t have summed up the verse better than you have.
and moreover Dinesh, the opposite of death may be birth but this birth can never guarantees u life. Birth is just an opportunityy which u may use to have life. U may miss it also.
