In your silence I died a million deaths.
So many questions and fears came rushing to my mind!
Did I do too little.. or too much,
Did I say too little… or too much,
Did I share too little… or too much,
Is it because I didn’t hold your hand,
even though I wanted to…
Only because I was afraid.. I’m only human, you know!
Your silence tells me, that there’s so much more to know.
Silence is the distance, between me and you,
And it thrills and kills.
And I see that I’m only projecting negativities on your silence..
That is the gift it brings along,
Because only through darkness can we appreciate light.
I accept that right now I am not the one who comforts you
May be silence comforts you more!
It is your journey, and you want to travel alone, not with me
For me, silence is The Other in your life…
But I have seen the beauty in you,
And the beauty of silence…
I like it, that our love does not need to waste words,
Though I have seen the beauty of words too…
And I hope, someday soon, we can lie in each other’s arms,
and let love speak a word or two!

What followed is an eight-year research into ‘Intentions of Human Behaviour’ which has now morphed into a project called “Simplifying Life!” Deeply spiritual in her outlook, she is an avid reader, an amateur documentary-film maker and very interested in mystical sciences, besides dabbling in writing when inspired by the environment around her!
Hi Sindhu!
I just revisited my life through your words. Lived every word of it and can say your poem is as beautiful and mystical as our lives are. Truly touched. Looking forward for more soon.
