So David Guetta played at the HUDA grounds in Delhi.  The crowd?

Well, there were girls in formal gowns.

I imagined what they must have said to each other before dressing formal.

“C’mon we are going for a live concert, you know what that means? Pull out that gown I wore to Shilu’s reception! Yes, the white silk gown with rubies and emeralds on it! Ya , this is perfect! Yes, I will accessorize it with gloves and a fancy hair clip.”

And the girls in tight and short dresses and six-inch heels?

“It is Guetta dude…he’s the king of the clubs. We have to wear our ‘clubbing’ outfits.  I am a size 10 but I shall squeeze into a size 6 and chop it from the bottom so that it barely covers my behind. Yes and bring on those heels! HUDA grounds? So what! They probably have it cemented just for us. But why are the taxi walas and the entire population of Haryana staring at us?”

Then there were some who responded to Guetta’s MAKE SOME NOISE with “FOR THE DESI BOYS!” No, really.

Also heard:

Kya yahan daaru nahi hai? Abey ye toh ERISTAAAAAAF ne sponsor kiya hai. Peeli hogi inn bouncers ne.” (What, no liquor! Hasn’t Eristoff sponsored the gig? Did the bouncers glug it all?”

“Oye ye GOOETA kuch dance numbers bhi bajayega? BC sirf beats diye jaa raha hai.” (Will he play some dance music too? $@&%..is only playing beats!”)

“Meri photo kheeench, aise..jab mein haathon se heart banau tab.” (Click my picture..when I make my heart with my hands!”)

A night to remember. Indeed.
