To me..
small things are big
a kernel is a tree already
a tree..is a meadow
a meadow..is spring
and spring..all of life
and everything is just one thing
that path strewn with yellow flowers
the roof top baking in the sun
red chillies on carts
dogs by the roadside
cats on window sills
that lake gazing at the morning sun
with fluttering silver eye lashes
pink bougainvillea perched on white brick walls
blowing a thousand kisses to the wind
peepal leaves in thousands
each one gasping, shivering in the breeze
homes shaded by flowering trees
with secretive little lawns
and lazy chairs sprawled in the sunshine
young girls with blue nails
and fearless smiles, walking
hand-in-hand with boys they love
the woman with a big dog
both walking the morning with each other
streets being swept of dust and fallen petals
and slashed with shadows and light
and then..human pain and exhaustion
when body and soul wait for the other to stir
the joy when you realise
between you and the world
there is no other
That you are part of it all
and always will be
no matter how little you have
and what is taken from you
and that you are the reason
why it all makes sense
why it all comes together
because you see everything
feel everything
live everything
as if there was no tomorrow
or yesterday
but only today
when you  lived
every ounce of your life
with your eyes
and your heart open..
