I have never really understood the concept of writing about rapes and condemning the act, because isn’t it obvious that it is wrong? Why do we need to state the obvious every now and again? And in spite of various magazines, television channels, celebrities, bloggers and ordinary men and women voicing their disgust and shock about such incidents, they haven’t stopped. It’s more like the rapists with renewed zest are mocking the rest of us.

I can almost see a smirk on a rapist’s face as he watches the entire nation’s fury on his television set at home. I think people don’t give enough attention to the rapists.. all you see are slogans being shouted outside a minister’s office demanding justice for the victim and a death row for the rapists. I find this concept very amusing, because do you frankly think a death row is going to scare away the other rapists? Going by the current events I doubt that they even care!

This post is written to Mr. Rapist because really, enough and more has been said and written about the victim. Everyone sympathizes with her, everyone’s prayers are with her. I understand that maybe her life won’t be the same again, that she’ll be scarred for the rest of her life, she’ll never trust men. I completely understand all this , but you , whoever you are , whether you’re the husband who thinks that a marriage certificate gives you the right to own your wife’s body, or the abusive boss, the horny teenager , or the guy in the street lurking around dark alleys waiting for your prey , this post is dedicated to you.

So what makes you think raping someone is okay? Or that it is justified to vent your sexual frustration upon some girl ? Whatever reason you use to justify yourself, whether you blame the girl for being drunk, or dressing provocatively or whether you are turned on by little children or if movies influence you and make you act like a predator, you know that it’s absolute bullshit!I know somewhere out there, there are a few people who actually come to your defense and say that you have a point, for them as well as you, I have nothing but disgust.

You know what you are. A man with no honour, conscience, humanity or self-control. I know these phrases have been thrown at you before and maybe you wear these titles proudly like a soldier wears his medals. I know you take pleasure when your victim resists, fights you off, and even pleads with you.. you must feel like God.. don’t you? But let me remind you just who you are. An attention seeking loser with no self-esteem, that’s all you are! Behind that macho facade of yours, you know that you’re worth nothing and that is why you do what you do to get some sense of power, to feel a bit better about yourself.

I know this post will make no difference to you, it’s not that you’re going to stop raping, it’s not like you will be punished soon, and it’s definitely not like you will have any shortage of victims, but let me remind you something you seem to have forgotten. You are a human-being. But maybe it is too late for you to remember that.
