I often come across to witness such discrimination. Many a times my friends from mainland ask me that where is Shillong? is it in Sri Lanka? And I ask them to refer to the map of India. I wonder that while in school, didn’t they learn the states and their capitals.
Well, I heard that from now if you call anyone from northeast a “chinky” then you could be jailed for 5 years. A good step but I doubt because the “who care” mentality is still there.
